Who we are

Hatfield Road Methodist church is one of two Methodist churches in St Albans under the pastoral care of Revd Daniel Yovan. Along with Marlborough Road Methodist church situated in the city centre, both churches come together forming the St Albans Section. The section also includes a community house in Salisbury Village on the edge of Hatfield where Deacon Nigel Perrott ministers to the local community.

Our Mission Statement

We believe in God who created the universe. He created everything we see and cannot see, and he created us, human beings, in His own image.

Out of his love for the world, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be with us. He lived our lives, bore our sins, died our deaths and rose again. Jesus Christ will come again to serve justice to the living and the dead. He did not leave us as orphans, rather he sent his spirit to lead, guide and protect our ways.

The Holy Spirit helps us to follow Jesus and so find eternal life.

    Rev Daniel is St Albans Methodist Minister having pastoral care of both Hatfield Road Methodist Church and Marlborough Road Methodist Church.

    Minister

    Nigel is a Community Minister and works across St Albans in both Methodist Churches and at Cornerstone House in Salisbury Village, Hatfield. Nigel often leads our popular Create & Celebrate session and can be often found out in the community drinking coffee and eating chocolate, two of his favourite things.

  • Maggie Dodd

    Anna Chaplaincy Lead

    Maggie works as an ecumenical older people’s Anna Chaplain. She leads care home worship, visits the elderly and coordinates the local Anna Chaplaincy Team. Maggie works with many different churches across the local area as well as supporting ministry at both St Albans Methodist churches.

    Tomas leads a friendly team of stewards at Hatfield Road, supporting worship and pastoral care in the church community.

    Peter supports the work of the church council and is also a Local Preacher.

    SAFEGUARDING AND MUSIC GROUP LEAD

    Joanna has two important roles in our church, leading the Sunday Music Group and being our Safeguarding Officer.
